It is made of anchovies, cili api and onions with an option of petai or plain. So sambal is NOT Vegetarian. Sambal is ready to eat or can be a paste for nasi goreng. You can sautee with vegetables, cooked pasta, mihun, tempe or eat with bread.
Sambal can last about 1 month plus. Must be kept refrigerated to lengthen its shelf life because it contains NO PRESERVATIVES. 100% homemade.
